Jeff Reinke – Co- Founder & Chairman of Programs Committee
Jeff Reinke is the founder of The Marriage Resource and pastor of the Marriage & Family Ministry at North Coast Calvary Chapel located in Carlsbad, California. Jeff obtained his BA from the University of Southern California and his MA from Trinity Graduate School of Theology and Azusa Pacific University. His wife Robin is a licensed marriage and family counselor with a practice in north county San Diego. Together they have been married 23 years, have two children and have many years of hands-on experience in helping strengthen and restore marriages in the Christian community.
Gus “Gusso” Morrison – Chairman & Chairman of Resource Development Committee
Gusso has been happily married to his bride, Kelly, for over 23 years. They are the proud parents of five children and have six grandchildren. Gusso & Kelly are the former Directors of the Premarital Program and the Marriage Movement at TheMovement Church in San Marcos.
Since 1995, Gusso and Kelly have taught classes and served as mentors in the Premarital Program at North Coast Calvary Chapel. They have helped countless premarital couples begin their marriages on a solid foundation. The success of this premarital ministry is the inspiration and blueprint for the Marriage Resource’s Premarital Skills program.
In addition to the work they do with premarital couples, Gusso & his wife are experts on Blended Family issues and are often asked to speak to groups on these and other marriage topics. They facilitate Marriage Skills groups as well as MenSkills and WomenSkills workshops.
Gusso has a heart-felt passion to help couples experience the fulfillment and joy of a God-centered marriage. His desire is to see the value of marriage restored in our culture.
Jeff Sterk – Treasurer & Chairman of Finance Committee
Jeff Sterk has over 37 years of experience in the acquisition, development, management and disposition of commercial real estate. Jeff has worked in partnership with Morgan Stanley, Principal Financial Group and the Washington State Investment Board in forming and operating real estate investment companies. Jeff is divorced and the father of three adult children. He has been involved in Menskills since its inception, first as a participant and now as a facilitator. He is passionate about working with men to increase their understanding of themselves and the grace of God in their lives and relationships
Rob Reynolds, Esq. – Secretary
Rob Reynolds is an attorney whose practice focuses on general civil litigation and trial work. He is allied with the Alliance Defending Freedom and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He obtained his B.S in economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Redlands, and his law degree (J.D.),cum laude, from Trinity International University School of Law. He was admitted to the California Bar in December of 1990. He currently manages his own practice in San Diego County while continuing to litigate cases in neighboring cities. He and his wife Patrice have been married for 20 years and have four children.
Paul Thompson – Board Member & Chairman of Governance Committee
Paul and his wife Konny have been married for 39 years and have four children and one grandchild. Paul’s career in the nonprofit sector has spanned nearly 41 years, most of which has been in the international humanitarian arena where he has traveled to more than 100 countries. He has worked for organizations such as World Vision, Operation Blessing, MAP International and Project Concern International. An experienced consultant and executive coach, Mr. Thompson is currently the Executive Director of the Better World Trust, a philanthropic organization that provides grant making and social impact investments focused on the sectors of child development, health & environment and economic development both locally and globally. Paul and Konny have been enthusiastic participants in and facilitators of the various programs offered by The Marriage Resource.
Melissa Beals – Board Member
Melissa and Matt have been together since their junior year of high school. They have two spirited boys that keep their lives full of adventure. Melissa holds dual licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. She received her BA from Iowa State University and her MA from Hardin-Simmons University. Currently, Melissa is a director of an outpatient mental health clinic for adults with severe and persistent mental illness in the San Diego area. Her clinic has been recognized as Mental Health Program of the Year by the County of San Diego. Melissa is certified in non-profit management and has been working in the non-profit sector for the past 12 years. She believes wholeheartedly in the mission of The Marriage Resource and desires to assist couples in deepening and strengthening their relationship with God and one another to its fullest. Melissa and Matt have enjoyed teaching MenSkills, WomenSkills, and MarriageSkills. They have personally seen how their marriage has been transformed by The Marriage Resource and are passionate and committed to helping others learn to love one another well.
